About Gift 92
Gift 92 helps those in real need to build a stable home. They are the only furniture reuse and recycle charity that gifts items to those who have nearly nothing.
Many of the people Gift 92 help have moved into an empty property and do not have the required funds to build a home for themselves.
Gift 92 supply the essential furniture and household items to help you create that stable home for you and your family.
Gift 92’s work is supported by generous members of the public who donate quality furniture.
Gift 92 is always in need of more furniture and household items due to demand.

Gift 92 services cover Preston and the immediate surrounding area. Helping over 750 families a year in the Preston area but do extent support and collections to a radius of 13 miles, working alongside Lancashire County Council’s Crisis Support Scheme.
Guild Initiative for Furniture Trust (GIFT’92)
In the UK, 14 million people live in poverty, along with 1 in 4 children lives in poverty.
In Preston, 8500 children are living in low or no income households. That means some families have to choose between heating their homes, feeding their children and trying to find ways to purchase furniture.
GIFT’92 was founded to deal with the fact that adults and children were sleeping on hard floors in their new properties because they couldn’t afford furniture of their own.
It focuses on obtaining good quality, reusable furniture from regular donations and gifting those items to those in need.
How does Gift 92 work?
You can visit the premises on Boundary Road and chooses the furniture you need, which can include:
- Chest of drawers
- Small electricals etc
GIFT’92 also works with Preston Relief in Need and Lancashire County Council Crisis Support to deliver white goods such as fridges, fridge-freezers, washing machines, microwaves and mini-ovens to clients.
All clients must be referred to GIFT’92.
