About My place

My place is an ecotherapy project delivered by the Lancashire Wildlife Trust in partnership with the Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust.

The My place project aims to improve wellbeing, confidence, social and employability skills through the delivery of fun and inclusive weekly outdoor sessions at greenspaces across Lancashire for different age groups: 13-24 year olds and 25 plus.

The ecotherapy nature of My place has meant it’s turned into something far more than just an excuse to get out of the house. I come away each week feeling refreshed. – Rosie Harvey, My place volunteer

Free Virtual Sessions during Covid

Originally Myplace happened outdoors to help people connect with nature. Due to the current lockdown they have moved online.

Virtual Myplace sessions now take place weekly. They offer small groups of people the chance to learn about nature and wellbeing alongside their trained team. For example, They might make bird feeders, sketch from nature, or learn to connect to the 5 Ways of Wellbeing.

Myplace aims to help you feel better connected, meet new people, learn about nature, improve your wellbeing and start to look positively to the future.

Connecting people to nature and improving our wellbeing is at the core of Myplace  do. Visit the website here https://www.lancswt.org.uk/our-work/projects/myplace
